RWTH Aachen University offers a summer research program to highly qualified students titled the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program or UROP International. This 10-week-long program (typically mid May through mid July) is specifically designed for students to gain hands-on experience in research at RWTH Aachen University for the summer term. Students will be able to conduct their own research projects, allowing the chance to determine how research can be implemented into the rest of their college careers and future.

IAESTE provides international professional opportunities for students in the technical fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Architecture). Participants complete internships at host institutions ranging from large multinational corporations to university research centers to startups. All IAESTE participants receive a stipend that generally covers at least the cost of living –housing, transportation and food – in their host city.

Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE) is a summer internship program in Germany for undergraduate students from the United States, Canada and the UK in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences and engineering. RISE offers unique opportunities for Bachelor students from North American, British and Irish universities the opportunity to work with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany for a period of 2 to 3 months during the summer.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong International Summer School is an intensive academic experience and immersion in Chinese culture. The program has typically held two sessions in July and August but it's best to check their program page for verification.
