Pitt in DC-Brussels: Governance & Policy

The political, economic and defense links between North American countries and European countries have created an ever-increasing number of governance and policy issues. Washington D.C. and Brussels, Belgium are the ideal location for this program. This program is designed for undergraduate students interested in Political Science, Foreign Policy and International Relations and Development. On this program students will explore links and relations between the United States of America, the European Union and EU member states.

Pitt in LA: The American Film Industry

Interested in working in the film and TV industry?  Learn from leading producers, directors, writers, executives, and other above and below the line working professionals from Los Angeles. Through unique coursework and speakers, the Pittsburgh-Los Angeles Film Program aims to give a unique exposure to various aspects of the entertainment industry, building on Pitt Film and Media program’s desire to offer “a liberal arts education with professional outcomes.”   
 

Pitt Greensburg: Student Teaching in New Zealand

This is an overseas student teaching program for Education Majors at the Greensburg campus. This is an excellent opportunity for students to apply methods learned at Pitt Greensburg to a real world teaching experience!  Students will spend half of the semester in Greensburg and the other half in New Zealand to both complete their academics and to student teach.  This is a great opportunity to combine study abroad and student teaching abroad.

Leadership in the Himalayas

Leadership skills are among the most highly sought transferrable skills that you will utilize in your professional life. Developing your leadership style is also a very personal experience that can’t be taught in the classroom. Leadership Development in the Himalayas gives you the opportunity to go beyond leadership theory and develop your leadership skills through this 6-credit experiential outdoor learning in the Indian Himalayas.   

Pitt in London - Summer

Study in one of the most vibrant, exciting and culturally rich cities in the world. Pitt in London offers a variety of courses across different disciplines. Your lecturers will be faculty from universities throughout the city along with Pitt faculty based at the CEA CAPA London Center. Whether you study English Literature, Political Science, History, or Business London will be your classroom and textbook. 

Pitt in Munich

This program consists of 4 weeks of intensive German language study and a culture course taught in English.Classes will be taught in 2 2-week blocks with one week in between for cultural activities and excursions in and around Munich, the capital of Bavaria.
NOTE: Students are required to have taken at least 2 semesters of college-level German in order to be eligible to participate.

Pitt in South Africa

In the Pitt South Africa Program you will travel to Johannesburg for one week of immersion, where you will take a Passport to South Africa course (1-credit).  You will spend three weeks in Cape Town, where you will take Modern South Africa History (HIST 1722) (3-credits) and Topics in Public and Professional Writing (ENGCMP0550):  Writing as Witness, South Africa (3-credits).  In this four-week program you will have opportunities to explore local history and politics, engage with local artists and archivi

INNOVATE: Global Issues in Engineering and Business: Vietnam

INNOVATE is a 3-credit course that takes place during the entire spring semester, and program travel happens during Spring Break. This year, students will go to Vietnam! Students participating in the program will travel to both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi from March 9-16, 2024. Students will attend multiple professional site visits with both local and international companies, partake in cultural tours, and engage with local Vietnamese students.
 

Himalayan Health

Join a group of adventurous fellow students for five and a half weeks during the early summer in North India to learn about the challenges of emergency medicine, public health and medical care or choose to learn more about Yoga and Mindfulness in the Himalayas, one of the most spectacular mountain ranges on earth. All students will take a 3 credits Himalayan Health course and then can choose one of two 6 credits experiences:
