Asher & Lyric Study Abroad Scholarship (Spring)

The Asher & Lyric Study Abroad Scholarship awards one student per academic term with a $1,800 scholarship for studying abroad, $100 Amazon Gift Card for buying travel accessories and optional one hour call with Asher for tips on studying abroad ($120 value). Students must be a full-time student who has already applied or been accepted into a study abroad program eligible for credit by their university. You must be planning to study outside the US and Canada. Students are to submit a 400 to 500-word application essay.

Ashley Soulé Conroy Foundation (Spring/Summer)

The Ashley Soulé Conroy Foundation awards up to three $4,000 scholarships per semester. Students must be participating in a program lasting 14 weeks or longer to be eligible for this scholarship.

WSA Cultural Bridge Scholarship

"Each semester the scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates a strong passion and motivation for international education. Scholarship recipients will be awarded $500 USD in funds toward their semester abroad. All American undergraduate students with plans to study abroad in Europe are encouraged to apply. WSA Europe will award the scholarship based on passion and merit."

Diversity Network Summer Scholarship

"The Diversity Abroad Network 'Diversity Network' will offer summer scholarships in the amount of $1,000 for full-time undergraduate (both community college and university level) students attending a member institution."

Tanaka & Green Scholarship (Japan)

In 2014 JASW established the Tanaka and Green Academic Scholarships to support short-term academic study (one semester or one academic year) at colleges and universities in Japan. The scholarships are made possible thanks to the Society’s H. William and Lily Tanaka Scholarship Endowment and the Marshal and Lispenard Green Educational Endowment.

Freeman-ASIA Scholarship (Summer)

Freeman-ASIA (Freeman Awards for Study in Asia) is designed to support U.S.-based undergraduates with demonstrated financial need who are planning to study overseas in East or Southeast Asia. The program’s goal is to increase the number of U.S. citizens and permanent residents with first-hand exposure to and understanding of Asia and its peoples and cultures.

Award recipients are required to share their experiences with their home campuses or communities to encourage study abroad by others and fulfill the program's goal of increasing understanding of Asia in the United States.

BUTEX Scholarship
