Junior Year in Munich

Junior Year in Munich: Advanced students of German (2+ years of university study) design their own program with a combination of local university courses and JYM-taught language and area studies courses. All courses taught in German. Internships and research projects can be arranged. Housing is single studio apartments in the student quarter.




Plus3 Business

Plus3 is students' first chance to study abroad at Pitt. This two-week, three-credit interdisciplinary experience includes group travel with Pitt students, a Pitt faculty member, and a Pitt Program Assistant to one of seven locations. First-year students will be provided with a firsthand glimpse of globalization through industry-specific company tours, Q&A sessions with executives, academic lectures, and cultural visits.

Hebrew University of Jerusalem

 Spend Fall, Spring, Summer or an Academic Year in historic Jerusalem at the Rothberg International School of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in a city sacred to Judaism, Islam and Christianity. Study a wide range of disciplines taught in English, (except for Hebrew and Arabic languages) with other international students, including Peace and Conflict Studies. Housing is single bedroom (within a shared suite) apartments, arranged by the university.

FUB/iS (Berlin): spend the Summer in Berlin, a city of contrast of fusion, old and new. Take courses in English with American and international students in subjects ranging from Art to Philosophy and many in between at Germany’s largest multidisciplinary summer university. Extracurricular programming and activities are arranged by the program. Housing is homestay or shared apartments.





Fall and Spring terms that follow a “typical” North American academic calendar (summer program is offering a wide range of subjects are available for students in this dynamic, young, and affordable European capital with easy access to many cities. English-taught courses in cultural studies, art history, literature, history, political science and more complement mandatory German language class. All levels available, so no need to know German to apply.

DIS Study Abroad in Scandinavia

Consider Copenhagen or Stockholm for a semester or summer and make Scandinavia your home and classroom for a challenging and fascinating experience abroad. No Danish or Swedish language required to explore, engage and grow while engaging in programs based on one Core course;  fill out your schedule with related electives. Study Human Trafficking, Scandinavian Noir, Arctic Ecology, Neuroscience, Gender Studies and more in sophisticated and increasingly multi-cultural Scandinavia. Study tours and cultural excursions (some for a fee) are part of the package.

Pitt in the Himalayas - Fall 2022

Join a group of adventurous students for the fall semester in North India to learn about the culture and environment of the Himalayas, one of the most spectacular and diverse mountain ranges on earth.  You'll go on backpacking expeditions to the source of India’s sacred rivers, to ancient Tibetan monasteries in Ladakh, learn about conservation at India’s premier Tiger reserve, Corbett National Park, and experience life in a mountain village during a village home stay.

Ben Gurion University

Ben Gurion University of the Negev (Israel): Fall, Spring and Summer terms are available in this Israeli university designated as a “green” campus. Study a range of Arts, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Jewish/Israeli studies, Bedouin Studies and Humanities classes in addition to Arabic and Hebrew. Housing is in dormitories with Israeli suitemates.




Arcadia Edinburgh

Scotland’s elegant and striking capital city is a UNSECO World Heritage Site, and a popular study abroad destination. Choose between programs focusing on Scottish History, Museum Studies, Scottish Parliament Studies, a Global Internship, or take classes directly through the University of Edinburgh. Housing, excursions, and additional experiences vary by program. 

AJY Heidelberg

Fall, Spring, Summer and Academic Year options are offered in this beautiful and centrally-located historic city that is home to one of Europe’s oldest universities. Language courses at all levels are offered and advanced students can choose courses at the local university. Internships can be arranged for qualifying students. Housing is single rooms in dormitories with shared kitchens. During the summer, homestays are available.
