Welcome to the Pitt SAO blog! Whether you still need to be sold on study abroad, you're already planning your trip, or you're back home and want to make sure you get the most of your experience, there's something here for everyone! Are you a study abroad alum who has some great stories or advice from their time abroad? Are you interested in having your writing published to our thousands of social media followers? If so, you've come to the right place!

 

To have your writing be considered for publication on the Pitt Study Abroad Blog and shared on our social media platforms, simply send it to abroad@pitt.edu with the subject: "Blog Submission." All submissions must meet the following guidelines:
 

-Be between 500-1000 words.  

-Focus on a topic consistent with the blog's content (stories from abroad, tips for students going abroad, advice for students when they return to campus, global opportunities/events in Pittsburgh, etc.) 

-Subject and language must be consistent with the Study Abroad Student Code of Conduct. 

-May be accompanied by an eye-catching, high-resoluation photo of the submitor's choice; if no photo is included or if the photo provided is not suitable for the post, SAO staff may post the piece with a photo of their choice. 

-All submissions are subject to reasonable copyediting by SAO staff. 

-Please include your full name, year, major/minor/certificate/track, and any social media handles you'd like to be tagged in our posts in your submission email.
