Have you always wanted to conduct research in Germany? If accepted, you could spend a semester interning alogside a researcher in one of the UAS7 universities!
This program is through UAS7 (University of Applied Sciences 7), a strategic alliance of seven leading German Universities of Applied Sciences.
To become a reserach intern, you must apply and be accepted. The internship allows you to conduct hands-on research and work alongside teams in on-campus research laboratories and institutes. Academic credit can be earned as well if you have prior approval from your academic advisor. These opportunities are provided during our summer months.
Most internships are not paid. Review program schedule on UAS7’s website. Typically UAS7 campus laboratory internships last 2-6 months; off campus internships are 5-6 months.
- Good academic and behavioral standing
- Must be studying in your second year or higher at the time of application
- Minimum 3.0 GPA

Funding through the Swanson School of Engineering might be possible, please watch for research and internship funding information to be sent out to all students via email. Konnichiwa! After working for the JET program in Japan for just over two years, I decided to pursue a career in international education. I returned to the US via a few months of travel -slowing making my way west with many stops in stunning locations and with amazing people. Whenever possible, I continue to love exploring new countries and cultures!
