Pitt-Developed Programs are programs that have been developed by the Study Abroad Office or by various departments and schools within the University of Pittsburgh. Pitt students are most often accompanied by a Pitt faculty member who will teach one (or more) of their regularly taught courses abroad. At this point, the only PItt-Developed semester program offered is the Pitt in London program where students have the opportunity to take a full course-load, taught by British faculty with one visiting Pitt professor. The rest of our Pitt-Developed programs are summer programs that vary in length from 2-8 weeks. All Pitt-Developed programs offer Pitt classes for Pitt credit and in most cases your grades will directly affect your QPA.

Semester Programs:

Pitt in London
Spring 2009
Fall 2008
Summer 2008

Pitt in London is a semester-long program developed by the University of Pittsburgh. Students who participate on the Pitt in London Program have roughly 20 Pitt courses from which to choose including fantastic internship possibilities in a wide variety of fields. As for most of the Pitt-Developed programs, grades will be factored directly into the Pitt QPA and classes will be listed on the transcript. The program is jointly administered by the Center for Programmes Abroad (CAPA) and the University of Pittsburgh Study Abroad Office. For a detailed explanation of the program, course and internship offerings, please visit our Pitt in London Pages (above) or contact:
Jeff Whitehead at whitehead@ucis.pitt.edu.
