program overview

Spend 8 weeks as an intern at the National University of Singapore (NUS).  NUS offers projects in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Most students will not be compensated for their work. One student chosen for the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering project will be paid a small stipend.

Students who wish to apply should complete the NUS/SERIUS application form and submit it, together with the relevant documents, to SSoE’s Engineering International Programs office, 152 Benedum Hall.

Program dates: May 21 to July 15, 2014.

Singapore is at the heart of Southeast Asia, and English is used, because of its British colonial heritage. It is the most user-friendly English-speaking introduction to Asia, and an excellent gateway to discover and learn more about the surrounding region. The country is a melting pot of cultures and has a unique blend of East and West. You’ll get fantastic insights into Asian cultures and practices, uniquely mixed with Western influences, as you interact with both local and international students, and explore Singapore’s mix of cultures.

Airfare is not included in this program.  Students should not book airfare until receiving final confirmation.
The estimated costs for the internship can be found on the NUS website.
Housing options are also available on that website.

Peer Advising hours:
