Attend Mandatory Pre-Departure Meeting

After acceptance to a program you must schedule and attend a Pre-Departure Meeting.   The purpose of the Pre-Departure Meeting is to provide and explain two critical documents:  the Study Abroad Agreement and the Course Approval and Registration Form.  Further, the health, safety, and security portion of the Pre-Departure Meeting outlines the risks of international travel and ways to successfully mitigate those risks.

To schedule a Pre-Departure Meeting you must submit a non-returnable copy of your acceptance letter.  Please follow the instructions below to determine what Pre-Departure Meeting you should attend.

  • If you are attending a Pitt-Recognized Program or Exchange, click here to schedule a Pre-Departure Meeting.
  • If you are attending a Panther Program, click here to schedule a Pre-Departure Meeting.  The dates/time for these meetings will be outlined in the Panther Program acceptance letters.
  • If you are an Engineering or CBA student NOT participating in a Panther Program, please contact the study abroad advisor at your respective school to schedule a Pre-Departure Meeting.  You can find the contact information for your advisor by clicking here.
