Become a Study Abroad Office Mentor

Melissa Climbing Mountain

Think back to your international experience.  Was it life-changing?  Did it reshape your worldview?  Now, think about what would have enables you to get even more out of this experience.  If you could share what you learned with one of your peers, what would you tell them?

Now you have the opportunity to help shape the experience of a student who is planning to study abroad with the University of Pittsburgh. It is our hope that alumni mentors will offer students advice about particular regions of the world, programs, and travel tips.

The Pitt Study Abroad Office facilitates a Mentor Program between study abroad alumni and prospective study abroad students.  Mentors that have completed a study abroad program through Pitt (Panther Program, Exchange Program, or Pitt-Recognized Program or Institution), are eligible to volunteer as Mentors to other students interested in study abroad.

If you are a study abroad alumni and are interested in becoming a Study Abroad Mentor, please apply here.  You will be matched with a mentee based on your interests and your study abroad location.
