Applying for a Fulbright

Interested graduate students should familiarize themselves with the Fulbright website (www.iie.org) and set up a meeting with Dr. Annagene Yucas, Director of the Study Abroad Office and the University of Pittsburgh ’s liaison with Fulbright. Students must complete an online application as well as hand in a hard copy of the application by the Study Abroad Office’s internal deadline. Students will have an on-campus interview, scheduled by the Study Abroad Office, in the weeks following the internal deadline. Students will submit their online applications, and the Study Abroad Office will mail in their hard copies.

The University of Pittsburgh ’s internal deadline is: Wednesday, 16 September 2009

The Fulbright online application deadline is: 19 October 2009. The Study Abroad Office will send the applicants’ paper applications and all supporting documents to Fulbright at 3:00pm on 20 October 2009 so that they arrive in New York by the stated deadline of 21 October 2009.
