Congratulations on taking the first step toward one of the most rewarding experiences of your college career!

All students planning to study abroad are required to attend a mandatory Essentials session. These 45-minute workshops will give you the information you need to begin the Study Abroad Process. Topics include program selection, course approval, and transferring financial aid. Regional campus and non-Pitt students are not required to attend Essentials on the Oakland campus, and should instead contact the Study Abroad Coordinator on their campus to learn about Study Abroad.

Essentials is your opportunity to ask questions, narrow down program choices, and gain valuable insight on how to study abroad. You will also have the opportunity to meet other students beginning the process, and you'll get to hear what some of your peers are planning to do.
